Week 3: What You Have Been Through

God’s word is divided into two sections: The Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament has the words God gave to us before Jesus was born. It helps you understand that you need to be saved from sin. The New Testament has the words God gave us after Jesus was born. The New Testament teaches you how Jesus saves you from your sins. To understand what Bible verses mean, you have to know which testament they are from! This fun jumping game will help you remember which books of the Bible are in the Old Testament and which books of the Bible are in the New Testament.

Everything about you matters. What you are good at matters. What you care about matters. What happens
to you matters. God will use everything in your life to help others. Think about Joseph. Bad things happened in his life. His brothers hurt him and sold him to Egypt.
Joseph thought being in Egypt was bad, but it turned out to be good. He helped many people because
he was in Egypt. God let the bad things happen because God knew that Joseph needed to be in Egypt to save food for everyone and keep them alive. God used every part of Joseph’s life to save other people. Every piece of your life matters, too. You have been through a lot. Some pieces are good. Some pieces are bad. All the pieces of your life make a complete puzzle. You can’t leave anything out, or your life will be missing pieces.
Romans 8:28 NLT
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
